Temporary Closure Sheeting
(sheet rubber self adhesive)

A range of sizes of elastomeric sheeting which comprise two layers of elastomeric compound: One side black and cured and a white uncured side whic acts as an adhesive to itself. This is protected by a Holland cloth interleaving to enable it to be partly stripped.

The primary use is the temporary closure of telephone joints. The specific function of the sheet is to provide a quick and economic method of providing a sheet to ensure that an air and water tight temporary closure is available on underground joints.

Tapes

Trafford Rubber Products manufacture a range of elastomeric based tapes for cable jointing and cable repair.

These consist of self-amalgamating tapes approved for telecom and electrical use (for basic repairs and jointing up to 69KV) by a number of authorities. Specific data sheets are available on request via our contact page.

We also produce uncured cable repair tapes to enable the rebuilding of an elastomeric power cable to its original specification.

We can manufacture to a customer's own specification subject to minimum manufacturing requirements.

Insulation Patch Material (INSUL)

We manufacture various types and sizes of elastomeric sheeting. This has two layers of elastomeric compound, one side of which is a black cured compound and the other is a self amalgamating adhesive protected by a backing material.

Its primary use is to provide a unique and efficient method of effecting an insulating barrier on an LV electrical joint.
